Ancient chinese proverb says - "every journey begins with a single step" - and as far as I can recall our journey began with a story of intrigue passed down through converstaions at a family parties.
"Of course, there are skeletons in the family closet - The family land being gambled away - the Lord of the manor having his wicked way with one of our ancestors (a servant girl) etc etc".
As, must often be the case, these stories have proved to be distortions of the truth, but nevertheless the stories are fascinating and the truth behind them is no less interesting -
In 2009 Esther Hardingham has reached the stage where a great deal of material has been collected and collated.
Our first step is to attempt an accurate family tree and make the information available via the internet
Our intention is the to add the social history, photographs and stories on interest over the coming years
On our pages you will find each relative (This portfolio will grow over the coming months) displayed as the main individual on his/her page with their parents, spouse, and siblings and a brief social history.
In time additions will be made to augment the basic information.
